Fifth Poem

Lady of the Poor,
Consoler of the afflicted,
Mother of the exiled,
Protector of the unborn,
intercede for our humanity.

May we fulfill the aspirations of Christ.

May we be capable of responding
to the Call of God at each moment.

Lady of the Poor,
may our hearts be humble.

May our lives be blessed
by the Love of the Eternal Father.

May we never fail to fulfill our part
in the Plan of humanity's Redemption.

Dear Mother,
make us free from ourselves
so that we may serve better.

Make us unconditional like Your Son
so that we may always say yes
at each new summoning.

Teach us to take care of the poorest.

Teach us to serve
others with love and mercy
because in this way we will be apostles of Christ,
willing to sacrifice ourselves for humanity
so that the Love of the Sacred Hearts may triumph.

Amen.
